The regional competition is offered in a virtual format. A virtual qualification round may be required based on the number of teams registered.

ERPsim is a business simulation game where teams of students use SAP S/4HANA to manage a virtual company in a competitive market.  Teams use SAP to evaluate, input and understand the impact of their decisions. 

The ERPsim platform provides a dynamic environment that accelerates time, simulates interactions with business partners and automates administrative tasks; allowing students to focus on the analytics and decision-making that helps them translate strategy into action.

SAP S/4HANA is SAP’s next-gen Business Suite and intelligent ERP, that runs on SAP HANA – SAP’s modern in-memory database platform.  SAP S/4HANA is available to companies around the world as a cloud offering or on premise.​

Students taking part in ERPsim competitions appreciate a unique experience that enables them to put into practice the knowledge acquired in their courses, develop interpersonal and communication skills, build a professional network, and attract the attention of potential industry recruiters.

During the ERPsim competitions, students can test their business and ERP (SAP) competency against teams from a specific country, region, or all around the world!

• Participation is FREE. Registration will close when team registrations are at capacity.
• The ERPsim Competitions are offered in a virtual format.
• The Coach is a professor / instructor responsible to register and mentor the team. Communication with the team members goes through the coach.
• Each team has a minimum of 3 students and maximum of 5 students. Diverse teams are encouraged.
• Teams play 3 or 4 rounds of the Manufacturing Sustainability Game scenario. Each round will be of 20 virtual days of 60 seconds each.
• Coaches can join their team’s breakout rooms but are asked to come back to the main session when the simulation is running.
• No cheating is allowed! All teams must always behave ethically.
• Teams are only allowed to perform transactions on the Job Aid. All other transactions are not allowed.
• Teams are only allowed to perform the financial postings on the Job Aid. All other financial postings or reversing capacity or setup time financial postings are not allowed.
• Teams must finish with a debt less than the initial one (8M euros).
• Teams have access to the OData service. Teams are free to use SAP Analytics Cloud or other data visualization tool they wish to follow the evolution of their company’s data.
• Customer preferences do not change during the same game.
• The end of game inventory will be valued at cost on the final balance sheet. Therefore, you shouldn’t sell under cost at any time during the game.
• Teams will be ranked based on their company valuation.
