Over the last decade, the role of the modern CFO has evolved significantly. Whereas traditionally CFOs were solely focused on financial stewardship they now have become responsible for ‘running the business’, ‘steering the business’ and ‘safeguarding the business’ as well. Aside from this, whilst carrying out these new tasks, they are also expected to ensure that the company is resilient, agile and becomes more sustainable.
