As President of Central Europe and Central Asia regions, Michelle Simmons is responsible for commercial sales, marketing, and operations in 20 countries across Central Europe and Central Asia. She and her team work with businesses, governments, and partners to address some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities with digital transformation while creating
opportunities for all.
Previously Michelle has held roles in the region as General Manager of CEE Multicountry subregion and Marketing and Operations Lead for Central and Eastern Europe.
Michelle joined Microsoft in the United States in 2001, where she held leadership positions in sales, partner strategy, and marketing across the Enterprise as well as Small and MidMarket segments. She relocated to Singapore in 2011 to lead the Asia Pacific Enterprise Partner business, followed by time in Korea where she served as COO of the subsidiary. Her last role in Asia was General Manager of Southeast Asia New Markets, where she was responsible for Microsoft’s business across 9 countries that represent some of Asia’s fastest growing markets.
Prior to her time in Microsoft, Michelle held several sales and sales management positions at ASAP Software and Frontier Communications.
Michelle holds an MBA from Xavier University and bachelor’s degrees in marketing and French from Miami University. She enjoys High Intensity Training, such as Crossfit and running, and has completed seven marathons including one in Antarctica. Michelle and her husband have three teenage daughters and currently reside in Prague.
