• CodeTheCurve is a global, virtual hackathon for students, educators, teachers, and the research community to build tech skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and professional competencies to build digital creativity and cooperation to mobilize the world. The 40 selected teams will be announced April 20^th, and the hack will occur April 24^th through April 26^th.

• The Power of We! Innovating for Canada: WE vs. Virus Hackathon took place April 2^nd through 5^th. It brought together 100+ teams, 8 companies and 600+ participants that worked for a total of 500,000 hours to develop ideas to help Canadians crush the virus.

• Reboot the Ocean challenge aims to bring youth together to improve upon existing technology or to develop new solutions that address current challenges to the health of oceans. The winning solutions from around the world will be showcased on the Unite Ideas page and will have the opportunity to take part in the upcoming Ocean Conference 2021 with the support from Reboot the Ocean partners. Submit solutions by April 10^th. The ideas will be reviewed between April 20^th and May 1^st.

• #SmartDevelopmentHack calls for digital solutions worldwide to adapt them to the challenges faced in developing countries and to immediately implement them against the COVID-19 crisis. This will be achieved through a match-making of digital solution providers and implementation expertise. The best teams will enter a two-day intensive hackathon, present their proposal to our jury and potentially received significant financial support for direct execution. The call for solutions is open until April 27^th.

• The Big 5 Impact Awards have been created to inspire the Middle East, Africa and South Asia’s construction industry to aim for higher standards and achieve new goals. Submissions are open to Project Owners, Developers, Consultants, Architecture and Engineering Firms. Inspired by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, The Big 5 Impact Awards is a platform to celebrate the achievements and transformation of the construction industry that go beyond traditional measures of project delivery. The submissions deadline is July 9.
