Stanford University’s Women in Data Science (WiDS) initiative is on a mission “to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field.” SAP has been a trusted collaborator and sponsor since 2016.

 

This year the WiDS Worldwide Conference kicks off on International Women’s Day, March 8 (UTC). The event will follow the sun, spotlighting female data scientists working on innovative technology across business, academia, government and nonprofits.

 

On the sideline of the global event, SAP will host an independent regional (virtual) event in NYC on March 8. It will kick off a “WiDS @ SAP” regional series that will run March through October 2021. Hear about the latest data science related research and applications in a broad set of domains.

Explore data science topics from theory to implementation, with a special emphasis on interpretability & fairness considerations in Machine Learning. Followed by networking between experts and participants.

 

In this SAP WiDS conference for Europe, Africa & the Middle East, female practitioners from various backgrounds share their experience working in different data science domains and functions. Technical deep dive sessions provide theoretical content, while various overview sessions and an expert panel discussion offer inspiration for data science beginners—including shorter speaker slots covering a wide range of job functions and topics from development, recruiting, and sales.
