Erica has a mixed background in Business & Data Science and is working as Data Scientist in the Research & Innovation team at SAP Signavio, where she builds and validates data science applications for the Process Management domain. Over the years, Erica has gained experience in researching, developing, and deploying data-heavy and machine learning-based prototypes, as well as validating those with key stakeholders and customers to identify potential for future product extensions.

Heba Sayed

Heba Sayed is a senior Strategy and Marketing leader at IBM Middle East & Africa. Her career included roles at the intersection of strategy, marketing and technology. She has been recognized as one of top 40 under 40 marketers in MENA and in 2019, was selected by Linkedin as a Top Voice in Gulf for her efforts in sparking conversations around emerging technologies.

Hoda Mansour

Hoda is a highly experienced, creative and self-motivated executive with more than 25 years of experience in delivering innovation and driving business value for customers in different industries. She worked for leading multinational software companies including SAP, Oracle & Microsoft in regional and global capacities. Living and working in various countries across Europe, Asia and Africa gave her a well-rounded experience in dealing with different cultures, challenges and business models. In her current role, Hoda leads SAP Signavio Business Process Intelligence in South Europe, Middle East, and the African region.

Dr. Hind Zantout

Dr. Hind Zantout MBCS SFHEA is the joint Head of the Computer Science Department (Teaching) at Heriot-Watt University and Programme Director of MSc Data Science at the Dubai campus. Her academic and research interests include semantic technologies, machine learning and interdisciplinary topics that link Computing and Informatics with Business and Society. Under this umbrella, Big Data, Innovation, Data Mining and Knowledge Management are employed to support work on Healthcare, the Knowledge Economy and Smart Communities.

Jelena Mijuskovic

Jelena is a Customer Engineer at Google Cloud, focusing on Data Analytics & AI/ML solutions. With a background in Computer Science and Information Technology, her career expands over several industries including telco, electronics and cloud computing. Jelena is a certified Cloud Architect and Data Engineer, passionate about working with developers and data scientists in exploring how cloud, data and AI tools can transform how they work with data, and help them achieve new levels of agility and efficiency to their analytics.

Dr. Katharina Schäfer

Dr. Katharina Schäfer leads the SAP Next-Gen program and is responsible for activating academic and research collaborations with high-schools, universities, and research organizations. Her passion is to bridge the gap between academia & industry and provide high quality education to all students worldwide. The SAP Next-Gen program aims to inspire young people about digital technologies and build the next-generation talents for the digital enterprise.

Mahadia Tunga

Mahadia Tunga is a Tanzania Data Lab co-founder, a center of excellence for data science and data-driven innovation that was initially established for HIV/AIDS Relief. In charge of the firm’s data science, research and capacity development section, Mahadia has been instrumental in dLab’s ability to leverage partnerships with universities to spearhead collaborative research, consulting, gender-based programs and training on data science.

Prof. Dr. Nancy Karuri

Nancy Karuri has a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical), from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is currently an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Chemical Engineering Department at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology. Her research interests include the development of diagnostics and materials to address neglected diseases.

Golestan (Sally) Radwan
Artificial Intelligence Advisor

Golestan (Sally) Radwan is an international AI expert and PhD candidate at the Royal Holloway University of London. Radwan served as vice-chair of the UNESCO ad-hoc expert group tasked with drafting the first international recommendation on the ethics of AI. She is also part of the OECD expert network ONE.AI, GPAI's Responsible AI group, and chairs two AI working groups within the African Union and the League of Arab States.

Dr. Salome Maro

Salome is a lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in CoICT. Her main areas of research interest are software traceability, software development processes and a recent interest in Gender issues in software development. Salome holds a PhD from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden (2020), an MSc in Software Engineering from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden (2014) and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Dar es salaam (2010).

Dr. Sarah Detzler

After studying mathematics & physics, Sarah discovered her passion for turning data chaos into value when working on her PhD in Computer Science. Ever since, she's been working in various data science positions in software development as well as consulting and sales. In her current role, Sarah is helping SAP customers rethink their processes and infuse their business with cutting-edge machine learning capabilities.

Alicia Lebrecht
Academic Advisor

Alicia is a graduate student of Business Informatics at the University of Mannheim. In her current role as academic advisor at SAP Signavio, she leads the Women in Data Science Europe & Africa regional conference and works on curriculum development for process management and process mining technologies. In addition to her studies, Alicia is the technical lead of University of Mannheim’s WoMen in Tech network, where she is an active advocate for IT diversity.
