About Irfan

Irfan Khan is GM and Global Head of SAP’s Database & Data Management organization with overall responsibility for go-to-market functions across Sales, portfolio and GTM strategy and business development. Key focus areas include the SAP HANA platform, SAP Sybase databases, EIM, Middleware, Big Data, and the Data Science services practice.  

Prior to his current role, Irfan served as CTO for SAP Global Customer Operations (GCO), a fifteen thousand person strong field organization.  He also acted as General Manager for SAP’s global Developer Relations organization and led the SAP Startup Focus program comprised of over two thousand HANA startup partners. 

Irfan joined SAP through the acquisition of Sybase Inc. where he was Senior Vice President & CTO. He spent almost two decades in various executive leadership positions across Engineering, Marketing, and Sales. 

Irfan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science as well as a Master of Science degree in Advanced Computing from Kings College University of London, UK.
