Sustainability

at SAP TechEd

The focus of SAP’s sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts builds on our vision to help the world run better and improve people’s lives. By working closely with our world class partners and vendors and their own high sustainability standards, we are able to achieve impressive results at TechEd.

Travel smart:

Climate protection. Help SAP reduce the emission of greenhouse gases! We are calculating the amount of unavoidable emissions generated by travelling conference participants, so that we can then match or surpass reduction or prevention of emissions in areas where we DO have control. Answer a simple five-step travel survey and you are on your way to contributing to our carbon offset effort!

Fill it Forward

Stay hydrated – and provide clean water to those in need. If you are an attendee at SAP TechEd Las Vegas, you will each receive a special conference water bottle along with a bottle tag and a Fill it Forward app download card. The bottle is yours to use at the conference and keep for your personal use. Simply stick the tag on your bottle, download the Fill it Forward app, then scan the tag each time you refill. You will be providing nourishment to yourself and to others! Give clean water, track your footprint, and stay hydrated! Sponsored by IBM Power Systems.

Food and Beverage Packaging

In partnership with Venetian/Sands, all food beverage packaging is compostable and will be sorted and recycled.
