GGWCup NYC Finals September 25th, 2019

A one day festival celebrating the power of sports for the Global Goals

Location
SAP Leonardo Centre
10 Hudson Yards | 48th Floor NYC

For the 4th time in a row we gather in New York City to celebrate the power of sport for the Global Goals during the annual United Nations General Assembly in New York City.

We will transform the SAP Next-Gen’s breathtaking event space on the 48th floor into a skyhigh football pitch overlooking Manhattan. Alongside matches, panel discussions, and music we are celebrating how women are uniting around the world in a one of a kind photo exhibition.

We have a lot to celebrate this year: 4,000 women have played since 2016 and have produced more than 22,500 actions for the Goals - some have even  changed laws.

GGWCup is an alternative 5v5 global football tournament where football meets activism and all teams qualify by taking action for one of the Global Goals. We have teams from the US playing, last years winner team Goleadoras, and teams and host cities from India, Nigeria, Morocco, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, Czech Republic, Jordan and Greece will join the GGWCup NYC Finals.
