Introduction to ERPsim for S/4 HANA (Level 1)

Forough Karimi-Alaghehband, HEC Montréal

Registration has reached capactiy and boot camp is closed.

ERPsim is the perfect introduction to SAP ERP and SAP S/4 HANA, with the aim of making the learning of ERP and business management concepts more effective.

ERPsim is a business simulation where learners get to use a real SAP S/4 HANA system to evaluate, input and see the result of their decisions. This approach makes use of actual transactions provided by SAP as well as custom transactions, provides a mix that is very close to what an ERP user would experience in the workplace.

In this boot camp, you will:

  • Be introduced to ERPsim, the various simulations, and the business processes that are supported by it;
  • Learn how to run the simulated business using SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Fiori;
  • Efficiently prepare and run a simulation;
  • Discuss how the simulations can be adapted into your curricula.

This workshop provides you all the necessary knowledge to run an ERPsim simulation game in a classroom setting. By completing the certification, you will be granted an ERPsim Certification ID (simCID), which is required to use ERPsim.

Bringing Design-Led Innovation into Your Classroom

Don Ginocchio, SAP Next Gen & Laura Pickel, SAP and Stanford University

In the world of design thinking trainings for educators, there are plenty of trainings that teach how to use design thinking or how to teach design thinking, but none that help understand how to incorporate design thinking into existing curriculum, merging the academic and the real world. This boot camp was developed to fill this need for educators in any setting. On Day 1, we will walk through an example course in order to familiarize attendees with the technique.

On day 2, we will apply the process to faculty's own curriculum. By the end of Day 2, each attendee walks out with a redesigned course, some possible co-teachers, and a community of practitioners.

You will get exclusive access to our online "method cookbook" that provides real-world recipies for design and innovation- related teaching materials and outlines best practices on how to manage the dynamic of a project-based class, designed for you seasoned practicioners and educators.

Designing your SAP Next-Gen Curriculum

Don Ginocchio, SAP & Nancy Jones, San Diego State University

Registration has reached capactiy and boot camp is closed.

This boot camp is targeted at faculty who would like to modify an existing course or design a new one to take advantage of the SAP Next-Gen curriculum content.  It will serve as a constructive next step to the intro to SAP Next-Gen curriculum boot camps taught earlier in the week. Faculty new to SAP Next-Gen and those who have been around but want to try something new are welcome. We will provide time and tools to help you plan curriculum for your next term and show examples of how other professors have done this with SAP content.

On Day 1, we will share examples and work together on a sample course in order to familiarize attendees with the technique of incorporating SAP curriculum content into new or existing courses. On day 2, we will apply the process to the faculty's own curriculum. By the end of Day 2, each attendee should walk out with a redesigned course, some possible co-teachers, and a community of practitioners.

Please bring your unique planned or existing course syllabi so we can assist you in creating your course(s).
