WiDS Silicon Valley @ SAP 2020

Attention - the event is postponed!

We are very sorry to inform you all that we have decided to postpone our WiDS @SAP Silicon Valley event tomorrow based on company-wide guidance around the evolving situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety and health of you are our priority at this stage, and we will communicate with you shortly about a new date for our event.

As an alternative for tomorrow, we encourage you to watch the live streaming recording from the official WiDS event that took place on March 2nd.

Until we meet, let us all join the WiDS mission to:

SAP Labs, Building 1, 3410 Hillview Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304

Date TBA

The Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field. This one-day technical conference features amazing women from industry and academia.

For the third year in a row, SAP is proud to bring you WiDS Silicon Valley @SAP Conference which is one of the more than 150+ ambassador driven regional events under the umbrella of the official WiDS program. Our theme this year is “Making Data Science Real: From Ideas to Production.”

There is a clear understanding of the value of data and its use in decision making through actionable insights. However, as of today, the estimate is that only 13% of Artificial Intelligence (AI) models make it to production. This conference aims to bring together Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Architects, Designers, Project Managers, and Students in the Silicon Valley Area to start the conversation on what is needed to make Data Science a reality in production.

Join us to hear about the latest data science-related research and applications in several domains, and connect with others in the field. All genders are welcome and encouraged to attend.
