Judy works in the Stanford School of Engineering, in the Institute for Computational & Mathematical Engineering (ICME). She is Co-Director of the WiDS Conference, a one-day global technical conference featuring outstanding women doing work in data science, across a wide range of domains. She is responsible for creating a new conference model, turning the conference into a global movement. 

Prior to Stanford, Judy's roles have ranged from VP of Marketing Communications and Demand Creation at Netscape Communications to Field Marketing at Apple Computer, to Director of Customer and Partner Marketing at Act-On Software. 

Judy earned a BA in Psychology with a Business Concentration from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).

Previously, Allie was the youngest-ever woman to build an AI product at IBM—spearheading product development across computer vision, conversation, data, and regulation. Helen Arnold

Arnold is the president of SAP Data Network, a business unit initiated by the Executive Board in May 2016, that runs like a startup inside SAP. The new business unit focuses on delivering a turnkey, cloud solution for data monetization to extract increased value out of data, derive new business models, and deliver unprecedented outcomes for SAP’s customers – all while enabling privacy and security of the data used. This appointment capitalizes on her strong background of leading the digital transformation for SAP as former CIO and chief process officer. In building up this new growth engine for SAP, she works closely with the Executive Board and has relocated with her family to Silicon Valley. From May 2014 to April 2016, Lawler Kennedy served as SAP’s chief information officer (CIO), chief process officer (CPO), and as a member of the SAP Global Managing Board.

As a designer and data scientist in IDEO's San Francisco studio, Lisa is passionate about creating impact through human centered data science and design, be it for high-level strategy or prototyping products and services. Since joining IDEO Chicago as part of the Datascope acquisition, she has been one of the pioneers integrating data science into multidisciplinary design teams. In mid-2019, she relocated from IDEO Chicago to the San Francisco studio to be one of the first IDEO data scientists in the Bay area. In her work, she helps design teams and clients approach questions around how to design ethically with data. Before joining IDEO, Lisa earned a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Chicago. In search of a more human-centered avenue for her quantitative skills, she discovered and fell in love with data science as a volunteer research assistant for UChicago's Data Science for Social Good Program. Lisa is deeply curious and is passionate about educational outreach, formerly (when she lived in Chicago) serving as a committee chair with a nonprofit organization aimed at providing STEM role models for young women. When not working, she is likely to be hiking or in the ceramics studio.

Cynthia is a Senior Data Scientist in the SAP Ariba Platform team. She works in recommendation systems trained by using a trial and error approach based on Reinforcement Learning. Her methods allow a procurement marketplace to provide recommendations for new users with minimum data while staying compliant to GDPR. Cynthia’s previous work focused on detecting suspicious activity on the Bitcoin Blockchain through a combination of graph analytics and machine learning. Prior to joining Ariba, Cynthia worked at Coinalytics/Skry. She hails from Tijuana, Mexico and received a bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego. Cynthia earned a Ph.D. in Computational & Applied Mathematics from Rice University. Her doctoral work encompasses combinatorial optimization and graph theory with applications ranging from neuroscience to logistics.

 

In her spare time, Cynthia enjoys outdoor activities, art exhibits and jogging.

Krithika Swaminathan

As Vice President for Artificial Intelligence, Krithika Swaminathan is responsible for leading the Consumer Applications and Security, Risk and Fraud teams for the Intuit AI organization. 

An accomplished technology leader, Krithika has a proven track record for delivering transformational organizational and business results over more than a decade with Intuit. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Platform Engineering for the Consumer Group (TurboTax, Turbo, Mint) and Vice President for Site Reliability, Security and Quality Engineering. 

Krithika has received the YMCA Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) award and Intuit’s prized CEO Leadership Award. She is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of women in technology and an active participant in Tech Women @ Intuit initiatives.

Sirisha Ayyagari

The AppHaus team is responsible for delivering amazing and unforgettable customer experiences which contribute to the growth of SAP. As an Innovation Coach, Sally leads SAP customers out of their comfort zones into innovative design-led organizations.  It was at SAP where she was trained and immersed in design thinking methodologies. Sally has taught and led design thinking workshops for some of the largest global companies, in a variety of industries. Caitie is the program manager for Silicon Valley Next Talent program (SVNT) and known as a thought leader for developing talent and the controller of chaos. She is responsible for recruiting, training, and retaining up to 90 recently graduated developers, data scientists, and designers for an 18-month rotational program. Her focus is on providing strategic, impactful and visible projects, 3 layers of mentorship, actionable training, and standardizing recruitment to avoid bias – resulting in hiring diverse candidates and 50% females into technical roles. Caitie earned a dual bachelor’s degree from University of California, Santa Cruz in Literature and Psychology as well as Master of Science in Industrial Organizational Psychology from San Jose State University.

Richa Namballa is a data scientist and product owner at SAP Ariba. After graduating from UC Berkeley with dual degrees in Statistics and Business Administration, Richa joined SAP through Silicon Valley Next Talent, a rotational program for new grads. She rotated at both SAP SuccessFactors and SAP Jam before finally selecting her current team, Machine Learning Business Network, as her final placement. Over the past three years, Richa has tackled use cases utilizing natural language processing and traditional statistical modeling, but, more importantly, she understands the disappointment of seeing your data science work not make it into production. She hopes to ensure that data science and machine learning are only used where appropriate and that models are practical, scalable, and value-driven rather than exhibitionist. When Richa is not saving the world from gratuitous machine learning models, she can be found spending time with her senior dog, teaching Zumba classes, or attending concerts by a broad range of artists, from Carrie Underwood to BTS.

Hiranmayi Duvvuri

Hiranmayi has been working as a data scientist at Vacasa for the last two years. While there, she has developed products that touch guests and field staff, who are both the heart of the company and are the majority of those we serve. Having worked with all different levels of the company, she has been exposed to various types of projects and stakeholders and ways to approach both. Before Vacasa, she did bioinformatics work in wet labs at University of Oregon where she discovered the fun of combining analytics and python and looked for other applications in industry.

Elinor Brondwine
