About WiDS

Stanford University’s Women in Data Science (WiDS) initiative is on a mission to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field. This year, the WiDS Worldwide Conference kicks off on International Women’s Day, March 8 (UTC). The event will follow the sun, spotlighting female data scientists working on innovative technology across business, academia, government and nonprofits.

WiDS Silicon Valley @ SAP is an independent event that is organized by SAP as part of the annual WiDS Worldwide conference organized by Stanford University and an estimated 150+ locations worldwide, which features outstanding women doing outstanding work in the field of data science. All genders are invited to attend all WiDS Worldwide conference events.

Since 2016, SAP has been a proud collaborator and sponsor of WiDS as we seek to empower women to pursue careers in STEM. SAP will kick off a (virtual) “WiDS @ SAP” regional series that will run from March through October 2021. Hear about the latest data science related research and applications in a broad set of domains.

Explore the series on SAP Purpose Network Live, find other regional events, register, and learn from inspiring female data science leaders. Get to know your peers in the community and consider pursuing a career in data science.
