SAP Young Thinkers
Learning Festival

at Snap!Con 2020

July 27 - August 1, 2020
What Happened?

The SAP Young Thinkers Learning Festival was organized in a truly international and virtual format! From July 27 to August 1, 2020, our virtual event set the scene for the snap!Con 2020 hosted by University of California, Berkeley. The program included inspiring learning sessions, challenging self-paced learning modules and a fun show & tell. We created code and ideas for our future, collaborated with young thinkers from all over the world and celebrated our talents!

Coding with Snap!
Snap! is a broadly inviting programming language for kids and adults that’s also a platform for serious study of computer science. You can participate in our learning festival no matter on how your programming skills are. Beginners, intermediate and advanced learners, everyone is welcome!

What it Took to Participate
  • At least 12 years old.
  • Basic English skills as most of the event was in English; but we  also hosted some German sessions.
  • Access to a computer or laptop.
  • Chrome or Firefox should be installed.
  • A webcam is not necessary, but it is definitely more fun.
  • An own email address per device. That way we could stay in touch with you before and during the festival.
  • Most importantly: you should love to learn and experiment!

SAP Young Thinkers Community

Create. Collaborate. Celebrate.

SAP Young Thinkers provides students knowledge, skills, methodology and technology to inspire a lifetime love of learning and the ability to impact the world. Started in 2015 as a grassroots movement, the SAP Young Thinkers community is more of a mindset than a program – made to inspire young people at secondary and vocational schools and curious IT beginners to learn about computer and data science, as well as economy. The Young Thinkers mindset embraces empathy, exchange, experimental learning, and experience.
