Introduction

This webinar is about BTP side-by-side extension in BTP Cloud Foundry runtime for SAP S/4HANA Cloud to keep core system as a clean core which won't lock upgrade in future.

 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud has scope Output Management (1LQ) to handle printing e-mail template requirements. But in some situation, side-by-side is the better choice for the customer to realize label printing requirements.

 

Here we deploy an application with SAPUI5 as front end and CAP in JAVA as back end. The application will extract outbound delivery through odata API from SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Then call the SAP Form service by Adobe API to render PDF document based on a self-defined template. Then create a print task in the BTP Print service. Then Cloud Print Manager will pull the print task and send it to the local printer.

 

This is a side-by-side extension solution on SAP Business Technology Platform for SAP S/4HANA Cloud. This solution follows the side-by-side extension best practices. This will keep customer core systems, like SAP S/4HANA Cloud, clean so that they won’t impact core system upgrades in future.
