It is often said that simplification is a proven path to free up more resources and reduce the maintenance costs of complex legacy IT landscapes. QSRP put this to the test and partnered with Deloitte to use the public cloud in a fit-to-standard approach to consolidate six different ERP systems and all divisions into a single digital platform. Not only did the migration go smoothly, but the synergies (including a standardized hire-to-retire process for all brands) and simplified maintenance provided the group with improved performance in exchange for a lower TCO. Moreover, the new digital SAP environment of the investment group QSRP is a significant strategic asset, allowing for the rapid digital integration of new M&As. QSRP and Deloitte will show you through examples and hard numbers how simplification brings real value to your business.

To modernize and simplify its operations, the company decided from day 1 to embark on a cloud-only journey to replace its outdated ERP system. They implemented SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition for core functions like finance and procurement. Essential pre-requisites like data quality, reporting, and operational efficiency were all incorporated in the cloud-only approach. Additionally, procurement, travel expenses, HR and extensive analytics cloud solutions were adopted to support the various business units. Implementation partner delaware played a key role in managing the change and training users. The new system has significantly reduced the total cost of ownership and improved data quality, process compliance, and user experience. Future plans include further integration of legacy systems and continued IT landscape optimization.

To prepare for an SAP S/4HANA smartfield migration in a highly production environment with plants in all continents, Umicore had to reinvent itself (and set up a new structure worldwide of more than 400 key users and 4.500 end-users) to prepare the migration and set up the scenario building.
