Malaika Mihambo
Malaika Mihambo is one of the world’s leading long jumpers and an Olympic champion. Born in Heidelberg in 1994, she rose to international prominence and achieved her global breakthrough with World Championship gold in 2019, followed by Olympic gold in Tokyo 2021. Her consistency at major championships has earned her the nickname “Mrs. Reliable,” with further successes including Olympic silver in 2024 and multiple European and World medals.
Off the track, Mihambo is known for her strong values and engagement beyond sport. She is pursuing a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, practices daily meditation, and is committed to sustainability. Through her initiative “Malaikas Herzsprung,” she supports children from disadvantaged backgrounds by enabling access to sports. She also shares authentic insights into her life and collaborates with international brands.
