Jochen Wirtz is Vice Dean, Graduate Studies and Professor of Marketing at the NUS Business School, National University of Singapore (NUS). Further, he is an international fellow of the Service Research Center at Karlstad University, Sweden, an Academic Scholar at the Cornell Institute for Healthy Futures (CIHF) at Cornell University, US, and a Global Faculty of the Center for Services Leadership (CSL) at Arizona State University, US. 

Scott Russell
President
SAP APJ

 

 

Scott Russell is responsible for driving SAP’s business strategy, revenue, and customer success in the Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region, encompassing more than 40,000 customers. Scott is the principal driver of SAP’s growth and innovation strategies and works closely with SAP’s development and support leaders to ensure consistent execution of sales and customer operations across the region. 

 

With decades of experience spanning across sales, management consulting, business development, operations and support, Scott brings an in-depth understanding of the business landscape across Asia. 

 

Since joining SAP in 2010, Scott has served in several senior leadership roles, including President of SAP South East Asia and Chief Operating Officer for SAP APJ. He began his career in SAP as the Senior Vice President for SAP APJ, leading 1,500 professionals in the Services and Support organization to help customers implement their portfolio of SAP solutions. Earlier in his career, Scott held various management roles at PwC and IBM. 

 

Scott also serves on the advisory board of National University of Singapore’s Business Analytics Center. 

Ang Swee Hoon

Swee Hoon publishes widely, with her work on metaphoric advertising and crisis marketing being highly cited. She also co-authors two textbooks in Marketing, both of which are the leading textbooks adopted by several Asian universities.

Swara Mehta
SVP, Principal Data Scientist
GIC Pte Ltd

 

 

Swara heads the data science practice at GIC, where she drives the development of data science capabilities that capture untapped opportunities to generate superior returns and value. Previously, she was the machine learning lead at Grab, where she built algorithms to match the supply and demand optimally. Prior to that, she worked as a principal engineer at Yahoo. Swara holds a master's degree in computer science from USC.

Joanne Chiew
Data Scientist
Airbnb

 

 

Joanne is a data scientist on the Cities team at Airbnb, which has a mission of building tools for cities across the world to achieve sustainable home sharing. Joanne works on understanding the impact of different regulations on Airbnb as well as the impact of Airbnb on communities and cities. She was previously a product manager working on data products in the Government Technology Agency of Singapore. Joanne received an M.S. in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University, and B.A. in Operations Research & Management Science from U.C. Berkeley.

Shikha Malhotra
President, Women in Business Club 2018-19

Coming from a technology background, Shikha has always been an ardent advocate of Women Leadership in Technology and has consistently been involved in training and development initiatives across  APAC. At NUS MBA, she is the Founder-Director of the Annual Women Leadership Conclave, one of the 100 most inspiring MBA students at the MBA World Summit 2019, and finalist at the Graduate Business Conference Responsible Leadership Awards (Paris, April 2019). 

Shikha will be the moderator for the WiDS Conference Panelists Discussion.

Satya Sreenivasan

After completing graduate degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science, Satya embarked on a software development career path right in the heart of Silicon Valley, at Sybase Inc. Her career and family then took her to India and Singapore, where she has worked with large, established software firms as well as start-ups.

In her current role at SAP's HANA Solution Center in Singapore, she leads a team of HANA experts showcase the platform's capabilities in solving customers' business challenges through a variety of services including hands-on workshop experiences and compelling proof of concepts. She has previously led a development team responsible for a healthcare analytics product at SAP's Innovation Center in Singapore.

Satya is passionate about encouraging young girls to pursue education in STEM fields and is a firm believer in the benefits of having mentors and role models in building successful careers. She is a member of SAP's Business Women’s Network where she plays an active role in organizing SAP internal mentoring program to empower female employees as well as participating in outreach programs with local schools and universities.
