You can give permissions by clicking on Assign/Revoke Permissions on the SAP Event Platform Dashboard. Website Editor (can only edit pages in AEM (AEM Earlier known as CQ5)); Registration data admin (can download reports and send/approve/cancel invitations); cannot assign permissions (Only a even owner can assign permission). Needs to be given individually for every site. 

Yes, you can share the video with the helpdesk team. They would convert that video in the URL and share it with you. You can then use that URL in the section to use it as a background video. The recommended size of the video is 3 to 5 MB.

Yes. The Platform is responsive design enabled, meaning that as you build the website on your desktop computing device, the website's pages will automatically render in a mobile-friendly format for smartphones and tablets.

No. As is the case with most of SAP's digital properties, the Platform does not currently feature templates that render right-to-left.

Yes. This process is called "cloning" an existing event website. While requesting a new event website, you can use the old website as a template. For additional information about this process, please contact helpdesk@sapvirtualevents.com.

Yes. The Platform has several standard website configurations from which event owners can choose. One of the templates is named "Registration Only", which allows event owners to launch a website that includes only registration-specific pages (Registration Form, Thank You page). Furthermore, event owners can choose any standard website configuration to build an event website that features only a minimum amount of pages (Landing page, About page, Registration).

Yes. Event owners can use the self-service dashboard to turn on and manage registration approval and/or invitation processes.

No, the Platform does not currently include a transactional capability. Fees associated with registration should be managed by a third party.

Yes, you can “sunset” your event website from the SAP Event Platform’s Production landscape using the self-service tool. The sunset process also allows you to specify a URL to which the event website and its underlying pages should redirect. On the 1-year anniversary of your event website going live, our administrative team will contact you to notify you of impending event website expiration. Users with recurring annual events can extend their event website’s lifecycle accordingly for another year. All other event websites will be sunset.

The Platform's CQ5 instance is completely separate from the SAP.com WCMS instance. Accordingly, your credentials will be different on the Platform. You can contact our Help Desk Support team (helpdesk@sapvirtualevents.com) for assistance in ascertaining your Platform credentials.

• Only lower-case letters in all file names
• No spaces in the file names (separate words with underscores or hyphens)
• No special characters can be used other than underscores or hyphens. This includes local language characters. File names must be in Global English

Yes. You can add a PDF on the event site. You have to share the PDF with us and we would convert that PDF into a URL and share with you. Please make sure to follow the file (name of the PDF) naming strandards mentioned below:

Only events can be created on events.sap.com. If  you want to create a webinar, you can create it on the webinar platform (webinar.sap.com).

Deleting the site from eco system is not possible. If you no longer need the event / webinar site, you my sunset the site. Please find the steps below for the same: 

• Open the event site in the dashboard 
• Click on “Edit” next to status 
• Select the option “Sunset Site” from the dropdown and update the redirect URL in the box (if there is no specific URL you can update https://events.sap.com/)
• Click on save and the with immediate effect the event site would be off the web and no one would be able to access the event URL.
