Muhammad Alam is a member of the Executive Board of SAP SE. He leads the SAP Product Engineering Board area and has global responsibility for all business software applications. This includes all functional areas from product strategy, product management, design, and development to running SaaS cloud operations.

Alam is responsible for a portfolio that includes solutions for enterprise resource planning for both public and private cloud, supply chain management, spend management, business network, human capital management, and customer experience, as well as solutions for small and midsize enterprises. He is also responsible for the strategy and development of specialized solutions that are relevant to the multitude of industries that our customers operate in.

Before being appointed the head of SAP Product Engineering, Alam served as President and Chief Product Officer of the Intelligent Spend Business Network (ISBN) where he was responsible for product strategy, product management, development, design and cloud operations for our direct and indirect procurement applications, external workforce, travel and expense solutions, and the SAP Business Network.

Thomas Saueressig is a member of the Executive Board of SAP SE. He heads the Customer Services & Delivery Board area with global responsibility for long-term customer value in the cloud. This includes all business areas in customer services, comprising professional services, premium engagements, customer innovation services, and customer support. In addition, Saueressig leads cloud infrastructure, cloud operations, cloud lifecycle management, and private cloud delivery for SAP’s global customer base.

Previously, as a member of the Executive Board of SAP SE, Saueressig led the SAP Product Engineering Board area and was responsible for the company’s entire application portfolio.

Before being appointed the head of SAP Product Engineering, he was chief information officer (CIO) and global head of IT Services at SAP. As CIO, he was responsible for SAP’s IT strategy and execution following a cloud-first approach.

Saueressig has a degree in Business Information Technology from the University of Cooperative Education in Mannheim (Germany) and a joint executive MBA from ESSEC Business School (France) and Mannheim Business School (Germany).

Since April 2022, Saueressig has been a member of the Board of Directors of Nokia.

Michael leads the BTP Engineering & Experience unit within SAP’s Technology & Innovation board area. Michael’s team prioritizes security, reliability, and next-generation user experience for SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). As SAP’s leading platform, SAP BTP offers the technical foundation essential for driving customer success and enabling Generative AI-powered applications. Additionally, Michael’s team is responsible for the success of SAP Build and SAP Integration Suite.​

Michael holds a Ph.D. in computer science and a diploma in media computer science from Technische Universität Dresden. He joined SAP in 2006 as a Research Associate and has since advanced through various technical leadership roles, including Development Manager and Senior Vice President and Managing Director of SAP Labs Dresden.​

Dr. Philipp Herzig is Chief AI Officer at SAP. In his role, Herzig oversees SAP’s Business AI efforts from strategy to execution to deliver exciting customer outcomes. Together with his team, he delivers state-of-the art AI services, tools, and technologies, and helps to embed AI across SAP’s entire application and platform portfolio.

Before being appointed to his current role, Herzig was globally responsible for bringing SAP’s product portfolio together in one seamlessly integrated experience for customers, spanning from integration efforts to user experience, and cross-product innovations.

Herzig started his career at SAP in 2009. Since then, he has held various roles as software engineer, architect, product owner and engineering leader at SAP's Innovation Center Potsdam. He led teams in multiple areas across SAP’s portfolio including Real Estate, SAP CPQ, and SAP’s Health applications. In these roles, Herzig focused on cloud-native application engineering, distributed systems, continuous integration and delivery, as well as fostering a culture of high engineering excellence.

Herzig is based in Potsdam, Germany, and holds a PhD in Computer Science from Technische Universität Dresden.

Jan leads Cloud ERP, which encompasses SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP’s flagship product for ERP, finance, and supply chain.

In this role he has global responsibility for the development, delivery, and product management of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, as well as the Digital Supply Chain portfolio. With SAP S/4HANA Cloud, customers have the choice to balance standardization with customization when running their mission critical processes with an intelligent, sustainable ERP system. Jan is also a member of the SAP Product Engineering Senior Leadership Team.   

Prior to his current role, Jan had worked in SAP’s IT Organization as Head of Enterprise Architecture and later as Head of IT Business Services, since 2016. He reported to SAP’s global CIO, representing SAP IT internally and externally. In this role he was responsible for implementing a significant portion of SAP’s product portfolio. He drove SAP IT’s agile transformation and in this way his organization was essential in supporting SAP to become an Intelligent Enterprise.  

He moved to the US in 2008 to lead SAP’s Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Practice for North America Consulting. He then worked in the Office of the CEO as part of SAP’s Corporate Strategy Group on Portfolio Strategy and in the Office of the CTO before joining the North America Field Organization in various business development roles as Value and Enterprise Architect. 

Peter Maier, SAP's SVP of Strategic Customer Engagements, plays a pivotal role in driving strategic customer relationships to deliver measurable business outcomes and build long-term partnerships. Since joining SAP in 1991 as a consultant in the chemical industry, Peter has held various leadership roles, including managing SAP’s industry organization and leading critical corporate initiatives. As a trusted advisor to top customers and an executive sponsor, he is recognized for his deep understanding of industry trends, challenges, and best practices.

As Global Head of Premium Engagement & Advisory (PE&A) of SAP’s Executive Board area Customer Services & Delivery (CS&D) Anja Schneider is responsible for delivering exceptional value to SAP’s customers by staying focused on their outcomes, maintaining architectural integrity, and providing simplified and scalable offerings. Anja strongly believes SAP’s innovative approach will help accelerate SAP’s customer and partner innovation adoption and achieve their desired outcomes. In her previous role as Chief Operating Officer for SAP's Technology & Innovation (T&I) organization, Anja was responsible for the overall operations, customer strategy, development portfolio, and cloud operations of the entire T&I. With over two decades of experience, Anja’s expertise spans across various facets of customer service management, including strategic planning, process optimization, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies to streamline service delivery.

Her vision and goal in the new role is to empower top customers to master continuous transformation and innovation through tailored premium services. Leveraging the networked expertise of global COEs and providing architectural guidance. Anja is deeply committed to driving customer success through a strategic and constructive approach.

Anja is married and the proud mom of a 15-year-old daughter. She lives near Heidelberg and is passionate about running, reading, and seeing the world with her family.

Irfan Khan is an experienced executive in the technology industry, with a focus on engineering, marketing, and sales. Currently serving as President and Chief Product Officer for SAP Data & Analytics, he is responsible for the global development and management of SAP's data and analytics products. Under his leadership, SAP's data & analytics portfolio has grown significantly and become a recognized leader in the industry.

Prior to his current role, Irfan was the President of SAP's Platform & Technologies unit, where he led global sales and go-to-market strategies for all of SAP's technology offerings. He also oversaw the SAP managed cloud business, supporting over 1,800 private cloud customer deployments across SAP and Hyperscalers datacenters.

Irfan has held various senior executive positions at SAP, including Chief Technology Officer for SAP's global field organization. He initially joined SAP through the acquisition of Sybase Inc., where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.

In addition to his role at SAP, Irfan serves as a Senior Adviser to Warburg Pincus, a global growth investor, where he identifies investment opportunities in the technology industry to drive innovation and business development.

Irfan is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and has received professional awards for his contributions to the technology sector, including the Infoworld CTO Top 25 Award. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and is the author of the book "New Data Imperative: Managing Real-Time Risk in Capital Markets" (2009).

Gina Vargiu-Breuer is SAP’s Chief People Officer and Labor Director, as well as a Member of the Executive Board. In her role, she leads the People & Culture organization and owns SAP’s global People Agenda.

Gina Vargiu-Breuer brings over 20 years of experience in international human resources to SAP.  Before joining SAP, she served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Siemens Energy for more than four years. During this time, she spearheaded the company’s spin-off from Siemens AG and successfully drove the transformation for 94,000 employees. Her work focused on building the entire HR value chain and implementing a new operating model that seamlessly integrated business processes with HR. Her transformative efforts significantly shaped Siemens Energy’s working environment and corporate culture.

Prior to this, Gina Vargiu-Breuer held various positions at Siemens AG, including Senior Vice President for Global HR in the Gas & Power, Service & Digital division. During this time, she gained both technical expertise and extensive experience in global business management, international talent development, and organizational transformation.

Gina Vargiu-Breuer holds a master’s degree in Economic Psychology from the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Germany.

Simone Engelhardt is Senior Vice President and Head of Customer Engagement Support in SAP’s Cloud Success Services area. Her organization actively contributes to Customer Lifetime Value by supporting and engaging with customer-facing colleagues and customers directly, with the goal to improve customer health, satisfaction, and to foster SAP customers’ success in the cloud. In her current role, Simone is also responsible for the “Power Your Success” experience of the SAP Services and Support Portfolio.

During her 35 years tenure at SAP, Simone has worked in various leadership roles. She joined SAP in 1988 as a software developer and became a member of the core development team for SAP’s System R/3 for enterprise logistics. She then served as an Executive Board Assistant to Dietmar Hopp, Chairman of the SAP Executive Board, and later to Gerhard Oswald, member of the SAP Executive Board. In 2002, she was appointed Vice President Business Development of SAP Hosting AG. Later on, she joined Global IT Infrastructure Services (IT-IS) as Global Vice President Operations and became a major contributor to the “SAP runs SAP” program, and the implementation of a Continuous Improvement System within IT-IS. From 2013 to 2015, she was Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Scale Quality & Support board area. After that, she became Senior Vice President and Head of Events & Communication for the Board area Digital Business Services (DBS).
